Crisciani Dental House is a family dental practice in the centre of Livorno, at Via Marradi 149. The practice has been at this address since 1981. We treat residents and visitors: toothache, broken teeth, lost fillings or crowns, swelling and problems with dentures or implants.
When should you call us straight away?
- severe toothache, or pain that does not go away;
- swollen gums or face, or an abscess;
- a chipped or broken tooth;
- a filling, crown or bridge that has come off;
- a tooth that is loose or knocked out after a blow.
What can you do while you wait?
- Knocked-out tooth: time matters. Follow the steps in the questions below.
- Facial swelling: do not put heat on your cheek. Call us; if the swelling grows quickly, or you have a high fever, go to the emergency department.
- Toothache: you can take an over-the-counter painkiller following the leaflet. Do not place the tablet on your gum: it can burn it.
- Crown or bridge that came off: keep it in a clean bag and bring it with you.
How do you reach the practice?
We are in Via Marradi 149, 57125 Livorno, in the city centre. Opening hours, the map and how the week is organised are on our contact page: the page is in Italian, but times and the address are easy to read. We are closed on Sundays.
What about outside opening hours?
For serious emergencies, such as a facial injury with loss of consciousness or swelling that makes breathing difficult, call 112 or go to the hospital emergency department (Ospedale di Livorno, pronto soccorso).
What else do we do?
Besides urgent care, we offer check-ups, hygiene, fillings, root canal treatment, dental implants, full-arch implant bridges and porcelain veneers. Our treatment pages are in Italian; at the visit we explain everything in English.

What should I do if an adult tooth is knocked out?
Hold it by the crown, not the root. If it is dirty, rinse it briefly and, if you can, put it back in its socket. Otherwise keep it in milk or saline and see a dentist straight away. Baby teeth should not be put back.
When should I go to the emergency room instead of a dentist?
Call 112 or go to the hospital emergency department (pronto soccorso) after a head injury, loss of consciousness, vomiting, bleeding that does not stop, swelling that makes breathing or swallowing difficult, or high fever with facial swelling.
Can I book online?
Yes. You can book a first visit or a hygiene appointment on our online booking page, or simply call or message us on WhatsApp. For urgent problems, calling is the fastest way.
